PRESS RELEASE: Willenhall Town Football Club Sponsorship & Promotional Opportunities

Willenhall Town Football Club Sponsorship & Promotional Opportunities.

Following on from the excellent feature by Peter Madeley in the Express & Star Monday 15th September on local non-league football, Willenhall Town Football Club are keen to let local businesses and groups know that we have some great sponsorship and promotional opportunities available with our Club.

When sponsorship is mentioned, especially with regards to football, people tend to blanche and think that it’s a case of little Clubs with big ideas and a lot of money to fork out – this isn’t the case! Non-league Clubs such as ourselves and our colleagues in the West Midlands (Regional)League, struggle for sponsorship and indeed often to attract the public to support their local teams.

At Willenhall Town Football Club we have experienced a dramatic drop in funding available this season and are looking for sponsorship through local and not so local businesses of all sizes, primarily to fund the rent for our pitch. Local businesses Aspray24, Bloxwich Environmental Service and Taylor Wimpey homes have sponsored the first half of the season’s pitch rental and we are looking for sponsorship for the second half of the season which is due imminently.

We have a great heritage and history in local football, having even played at Wembley in 1981 as a finalist in the FA Vase, an achievement we would dearly love to replicate. We would greatly appreciate one or more local businesses to help us achieve this ambition and to support us playing and generating the next 60 years of footballing history.

In return we have a growing web and social media portfolio for sponsors to access and a selection of packages to help promote your business across the Midlands. In August our new website has over 7000 page reviews. Similarly our Facebook page and Twitter media are growing at an exciting rate.

We are also keen to be creative and if local businesses have their own ideas about a package they would like to see we would be delighted to work together to develop that. This is the opportunity for local businesses to have a direct input into local football. We are a nation of football lovers and the Grassroots level is where it all starts and it’s here on your doorstep.

Please feel free to contact us for further details or indeed with your ideas. Fancy having the stand named after your business? – that’s an option! Sponsorship packages and Club information are on our website and please “like” our Facebook page and “follow” us on Twitter. Or call on 07901 560691.

We very much look forward to working with businesses of all sizes and types, promoting you and ensuring the future of Grassroots football for Willenhall Town and it’s Club. We are extremely keen to be a focal point of the local community, to work with businesses, schools, academies, community group and more!
