In the Dugout with Matt – 3.1.15

Good afternoon everyone and welcome to today’s home encounter against Wolverhampton Casuals.

I’d like to first take this opportunity to wish everyone attending the game a very happy new year and I hope that the hangovers weren’t too harsh on you!

Now that the Christmas period is behind us it’s now time to look to the future. 2015 has the potential to be an exciting time for the club, and the team will obviously be doing everything possible to help with that. As manager I will be working as hard as I possibly can along with the players to help the club finish as high as we can in the WMRL.
The last game we played again has shown just how far we have come as as a side over the last year. The changing room was rightly a very quiet place after the Gornal game as we ran a side who went second with that win extremely close. To be leading with 15 minutes left and then to lose id obviously very disappointing however the performance did not deserve such a result. We are now hoping that the consistency in the games we have played especially over the last 6 to 8 weeks can now carry us forward positively into the start of the new year.

I’d like to wish the officials and players of Wolverhampton casuals a safe journey home after the game. I hope you all enjoy the match and here’s to a positive start in 2015!

Yours in sport
Matt Whitehouse
Manager
