Code of Conduct 2014/15 – Section 1 & 2

Section 1

The chief objective is to provide sport to all members in an organized system which is still fun but safe, to provide the opportunity to learn new skills and to build self confidence. We want to make sport so much fun that the players will want to be involved and they will keep coming back for more. It is essential to promote fair play and positive attitudes, so we have set up a code of conduct which much be followed by players, team management, board members and supporters.

1. Players must attend in the appropriate clothing. Football boots for grass, training shoes for hard surfaces. Warm clothing at all times, shin pads and a water filled bottle if possible (not for matches).

2. Players must attend at least ten minutes before training and at the clubs stated meeting time before a match. This is to ensure that they are ready to play and are safely warmed up prior to a match to prevent injury.

3. Players must inform the Team Manager or Assistant well in advance if they are going to be late or absent.

4. Players are expected to show positive attitudes, and to follow directions given by the Team Manager or Assistant.

5. Players must be courteous, respectful and polite at all times towards Team Mates, Opposition, Coaches & Managers, Referees, Officials, Board Members and Supporters.

6. No swearing, spitting at opponents, name calling or racist remarks. We will not accept any unsporting behavior or cheating on our team. The Club WILL strictly enforce this rule.

7. Players must show respect for the facilities and equipment they use. All players will be expected to help set up and clear away equipment. All kit issued will be respected and on return should be in a presentable condition or a charge WILL made for replacements. Remember YOUR kit, YOUR responsibility!

8. At the end of a match all players must shake hands and thank the Referee and officials despite the outcome or incidents of the match.

9. Players please encourage your teammates at all times. Cheer and root for all the players in the team. Only look for the good things players have done in the game or practice. We should never use a negative attitude as this will harm the players confidence and will eventually put them off the game. Negative comments towards teammates WILL NOT be accepted.

10. Players should not use social media to voice opinions which show the club/players or opposition in a negative way. This rule will be strictly enforced as comments made can be seen by all and is quickly spread.
