The Lockmen returned to winning ways with their first double of the season against Bromyard.
As is becoming the norm for this season The Lockmen started well against their visitors from Herefordshire. Their first attack came in the third minute and it produced the opening goal. Mikey Clark hit the outside of the post with his header from Kieran Robinson’s cross but the ball ran free for skipper Paul Holden who had the simple task of rolling home. Two minutes later Yinkz Adeshina got in a shot on goal but Tim Paterson fielded comfortably. Eddie Willson fired just wide on 12 minutes before Luke Molloy did likewise for the visitors two minutes later. Robinson produced a clever ball after 18 minutes to give Willson a shot at goal, however, the effort was well blocked. A minute later Danny Polan forced a good save from Paterson, who took a second attempt to claim the ball low down. The visitors forced a corner on 29 minutes but Paterson claimed and then set up a chance on the break. Opposite number Marc Wright did well to grab the ball off Willson’s toes. The Lockmen really should have had a penalty on 34 minutes, Wilson being cut down from behind with only a corner forthcoming. The Lockmen forced another couple of corners before they got a second goal in stoppage-time at the end of the first-half. Clark firing home superbly from a cross.
The visitors really needed to find some sort of impetus and they got it in the shape of a goal. The Lockmen missed two chances to clear the ball as it was helped along the edge of the box and it eventually reached Adeshina and he calmly netted across Paterson to halve the deficit. Lyndon Weller did well to clear a shot at goal four minutes later before The Reds won a free-kick out on the right on 56 minutes, Hemmings played the ball in well but Clark miscued his effort high over. Holden was just wide a minute later before Paterson saved well on 68 minutes after Weller was. Clark then forced a corner on 74 minutes after breaking clear initially. Clark then set up Willson but his effort was just too high. Dove curled an effort to the keeper on 79 minutes when he picked up a clearance. Dove then fired at Wright from a free-kick on 83 minutes. The Lockmen killed the game in the last minute with a superb goal from Willson. Darren Critcher skied a clearance back towards goal, Willson got underneath it, killed it dead with his first touch before swivelling on the spot to ram home a superb goal. Clark almost added a fourth in injury-time but he fired wide.
