FULL MATCH REPORT
The Lockmen dropped into the bottom two after this defeat against their Shropshire neighbours. Wellington were first to threaten but a shot from Duanes Upton was high and wide after they had won a fifth minute corner. Another followed three minutes later but again it was wasted. Sam Robinson fired wide on ten minutes and a minute later The Lockmen defence were appealing for off-side and stopped chasing Gabriel Pavlulic, he continued his run but the effort was off target. Willenhall threatened for the first time after 12 minutes when Graham Ashton curled a left hand side free-kick into the box, Danny Tipton the former Willenhall keeper dropped the ball, and it was worked to Mikey Clark whose attempted lob curled just over the goal. A minute later and the home side won another corner when a free-kick was pumped into the box with the resultant shot deflecting over, and the corner which followed, was cleared easily. Pavlulik was next in action for Wellington on 26 minutes but he fired high and wide from a good position inside the box after a lull in proceedings. The Lockmen attacked again two minutes later with Clark doing well to beat three men on the left before cutting inside and squaring for Danny Hemmings but his shot was deflected away for a throw-in. Hemmings was then picked out on the right by an astute Craig Sudlow pass and he raced towards the bye-line before centring into the box and finding Matt Dorgan whose first time effort was a yard wide on 31 minutes. Wellington finally broke the deadlock ten minutes before the break when a corner was headed home. On 37 minutes Antony Bufton set up Robinson, his first time shot was well held by Ben Holden. Five minutes before the break Tom Turner fired wide for The Lockmen before, in the last action of the half, Ashton produced a goal-saving tackle to deny Upton a near certain goal as he broke unmarked into the six yard area.

The home side had two corners in the first seven minutes after the break, but never threatened a goal. Willenhall then won a free-kick thirty yards out after 54 minutes. They almost caught their hosts out by taking it short to Damian Charie, but his effort was just wide of the mark as they still failed to test Tipton with a shot on target. Three minutes later Matt Dove saw his effort clawed behind before Dorgan then saw his header kicked off the line. Wellington then broke sixty seconds later which ended in a wasted corner before Willenhall attacked again two minutes past the hour. This time Charie broke through the middle before passing to the right and freeing Hemmings for a cross which was well blocked. Wellington doubled their lead on 66 minutes when Pavlulik netted after being played through the middle. Upton then forced a fine save from Holden with a quarter of an hour remaining before Hemmings fired well wide at the other end a minute later. After 78 minutes a Dove header set up sub Steven Nurse, he dribbled across the box past two players and set up Clark, but he was eventually crowded out before he could shoot. Apart from a couple of dangerous crosses and a free-kick, the game drifted to its end with no real threat from either side to leave The Lockmen ruing a strangely lethargic performance.
