Even the appearance of the old enemy couldn’t rattle these two old adversaries as the traditional end-of-season game took precedence. Two corners each, two atempts wide by Chris Brown and one high over from Liam Morris was the visitors sum attacking attempt whilst The Lockmen saw a Lyndon Weller header just wide.
The second half was better as Dove saw two more efforts narrowly off target, one deflected and sub Issac Megoe also went close twice for The Steelmen as the game threatened to but never quite ignited. Eddie Woilson was twice narrowly off target via deflections and Craig Sudlow was just off target from a half-cleared corner late on whilst the only real save as such saw Dan Bryson, Ben Holden and former Reds player Liam Morris all challenge for a low ball into the box. Lockmen keeper Holden appearing to take a blow to the head as Morris slid narrowly wide. The result leaves The Lockmen unbeaten in six games as the season draws to a close.
