Individual errors in a poor first half left The Lockmen with too much to do after the break, though they did improve greatly.
The visitors started better with Matt Simmon putting a header wide and a free-kick over in the first ten minutes. In reply Luke Green and Carl Guinn both did well to swing in dangerous crosses but with no real presence in the box. Simmon put a dipping effort onto the roof of the net midway through the half before Michael Miller was played clean through only to hit a poor effort at Chris Adamson in the Reds goal. Cory Ensor was inches wide on the half hour before John White won what proved to be three succesive corners before the visitors cleared. Adamson then produced a fine tip over on 35 minutes but from the resulting corner, Adam Whatley was allowed a free header which dipped perfectly into the very top corner of the net. Almost on half-time Cory Ensor was then caught in possession on the edge of his own box attempting to clear and Jack Whittle was able to fire home.
Rich Wharton fired a free-kick into the area on the hour, Richard heeks getting to it but shooting wide before Green went rampaging forward from half-way only to be barged over in the box three minutes later. Green repeated the feat on 75 minutes, this time he fired at Rickie Denton in the visitor’s goal. Danny Turton saw his effort blocked a minute later as he ventured forward from defence Before The Lockmen finally got their goal on 79 minutes.Nathan Ensor fed brother Cory who broke into the box before teeing up substitute James Ough to fire home into the corner. For all their efforts, an equaliser never really looked likely as Bustleholme held onto three hard earned points.
